I agree too, but I don't think Kovalchuk is gonna sign with them next season. If they loose him and they don't win the Stanley Cup, NJ are gonna be the looser in that trade. Cormier is a 2nd round choice, Atlanta got a 1st round pick and Bergfors(1st round pick). Oduya is normal
![]() First line should be: Kovalchuk-Zajac-Parise but Kovalchuk trained this morning with Zubrus and Langenbrunner

Burke now has a good defensive core that will be around for years. Luke Schenn, Dion Phanuef will be there for years to come & Aulie is a great defensive prospect. Burke's not done yet either.

I will admit, I have not been paying attention to hockey much this season, but whats your guys take on this trade?
Blackhawks send former first-round pick Cam Barker to Wild for Kim Johnsson and Nick Leddy. |

I like it. I think it's good for both teams. Minnesota gets a solid young defenseman who shows he can put up points and gets a return for a good UFA. And the Hawks get an experienced defenseman in Johnsson for this season, plus a future defenseman in Leddy in return. I liked Barker, but I think this deal benefits the Hawks now and long term.
