It's more those who like the system they have now voted in that manner.

He has asked congress to delay the switch to digital TV. It baffles me as to how we ever allowed such a stupid law that was obviously instigated by the cable and satellite tv industry to pass. They say they were doing their job of improving americans quality of life. By making sure we all get to watch football in HD. Get the **** outta here Plus were in a recession. Millions of peoples tvs will go blank in Feb. because the government wants to make our lives perfect. I am exstatic at Obamas request to delay the date. Its another sign that hes not a mindless adherer to liberal ignorance.

I love how all the people on the right attacked this thing because its intentions were not about health care, but about the control of the nation's wealth. How did the left respond? Ridicule and character attacks, but never addressing the accusations...now that this thing has been imposed, they are all coming out admitting and gloating about the socialism that is now in place, exactly what they were being accused of in the first place. This bill is not about health care, it is about the redistributing of wealth. It is unconstitutional for the government to take money from one citizen and give it to another, but that is exactly what this thing does. Worst part is, you can't strike this, because the government gains access to your bank account thanks to this bill, and will take your money anyway. It's times like these we realize why the founding fathers gave us the 2nd Amendment, which ironically is another freedom the left hates and wants to take from everyone. The next few months, be ready for more and more rights being stripped from you as Obama and the Democrats try to get things forced through before the November elections.

I really don't think alot of the legislation will hold up in the courts. Especially if it hits the Supreme Court.

Anyone who is a fan of this bill shouldn't be allowed to procreate.

I just realized, the Democrats always make promises to permanently secure votes. The catch? It always costs people their Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness....if that isn't unconstitutional, I don't know what is.

When conspiracy theorists who are wrong speak out against the Right, they are given as much exposure as they desire and are treated as geniuses.

When people make correct predictions and accusations against the Left, they are ridiculed and silenced from the mainstream, touted as lunatics.

The "liberals" in this country are not the free thinking open minded individuals they proclaim themselves as, they are very much fundamental Marxists who do not want their ideas challenged, and when they have absolute power as they do now, much like any totalitarian state, they seek oneness from the lives and ideas of the citizens. Ideas that are reasonable and worthy of discussion, and people who present them are suddenly made taboo whenever they challenge the authority of a Marxist rule, and that has systematically happened in this country thanks to things like the Colbert Report, Daily Show, BIll Maher....etc....where the opposition to this Marxist movement is made into a joke, brainwashing people to obey for fear of being ridiculed by others if they are in any way like minded to the individuals targeted on these shows.

Excellent point Blaze.

The Obama administration is stomping on civil liberties in the name of supporting the weak in society. Let the weak fail on their own accord and don't punish me for their mistakes.

Plus, on my first point from that post, shouldn't trying to secure voter groups count as gerrymandering? Last time I checked, that was supposed to be illegal.

"NEW YORK--Verizon Communications Inc (VZ) said on Thursday it expects to record a charge of $970 million related to the new U.S. healthcare reform law.

The second biggest U.S. telephone company said the one-time non-cash charge stems from the elimination of an income tax deduction related to providing retirees with prescription drug coverage.

Verizon -- expected by analysts to report 2010 revenue of $108.53 billion -- was the latest in a stream of big US companies to announce costs related to the Obama administration's overhaul of the healthcare system.

The week before its bigger rival AT&T Inc (T) said it expects to take a charge of $1 billion as a result of the reforms."
