Player Chemistry

During player creation, each player should be assigned a single trait. Either randomly or by choice. Sniper, grinder, power forward, fighter, offensive defenseman, dangler or passer, defensive defenseman.

Having the correct combination of players on a line would give a bonus, and having the wrong combination on a line would cause problems.

If you had 3 snipers or 3 passers on a line they would not work the best. But if you had a sniper, dangler and power forward for example, they would get stuff done.

3 grinders would be your 4thline for wearing down the opposition. Or 2 grinders and a fighter for best results.

The experience and chemistry ideas just add depth to the game, I accept that they would take alot to program in, but if it's not impossible, I highly recommend introducing them to give the game more depth and more realism.

Probably the best and most likely of the bunch. Just a amazing idea. I've invested money into my players and i had multiple teams from season 2 on, but the game has gotten stale. I could list off the names of the "oldtimers" that have left (along with the cash they were spending) because the game hasn't advanced. I would be more inclined to dip into my wallet if there were more to do then train your players and set your line-ups. I'm not asking for massive changes but having a free agent list and waivers would be a great start.

Thanks for the feedback. Player chemistry is a huge thing. I'm a Red Wings fan from back in the 90s(hold the flaming please) so I can only use this as an example.

Maltby, Draper, McCarty and when Holmstrom started playing with these guys on this line. These guys weren't amazing players, but they worked hard and got in everyone's grill. When put together they were a perfect grinder unit.

Or, my favourite combo was Yzerman and Federov. bring in Shanahan and you have a playmaker(Stevie Y), a sniper (Federov), and a power forward (Shanny)

That is the ultimate line up if you ask me.

I would love to see: extra incomes, player chemistry, and if possible facility upgrades get the green light...
